Do or Do Not, There is No Should (1 min read)

Lately, I've been experimenting with reframing should statements into "I will" or "I won't" statements. For example, I stead of "I should work out," it would be "I will work out on..(insert time and date)," or "I won't work out right now because other things are taking priority."

What I've observed with should statements is that they put my mind in a frame of guilt and indecision. It also implies some mysterious force is making me do things I "should" do.

I found it less stressful and more empowering to make a decision to do (or not do) something rather than wallow on the fence of a should.

What do you think?

Warm regards,
